I have tried it twice to make sure I have typed the user and password correctly.
If this works it would be very cool software for me and my company to use!
I have also read the other threads and couldn't find the answer there. The sharepointsite is a normal installation with a separated SQL server and Web-front-end. Security is now based on NTLM (pretty standard installation if you ask me)
Greetings,
Victor

I am having similar problems. It's maddening. I have all Sharepoint priviledges but it still fails.
Could the problem be I am connected via a VPN which does not run until I am logged on. already (I actually have to run the VPN program (CISCO) and connect). If I log on before being connected to the domain server - as I clearly must be - could that be tripping it up?
I will try this tomorrow (I'm in Sydney, Australia) with a local connection
Simon
Victor,
Thank you for your post.
Please try this approach. Log directly into SharePoint with your credentials and select the dropdown under "Welcome ...." at the top of the page and then select "My Settings". Copy the text next to "Account" (should be something like XXXXX\xxx_xxx.xxx) and use that in the User field for MetaVis. Watch for leading and trailing spaces if you will copy and paste .
Please let us know if this works. We are investigating how to overcome this translation issue so this step is unnecessary.
Thank you for interest in our product.
MetaVis Support
Hello Steve / support,
Thanks for the e-mail, I have tried the above mentioned solution already because I saw that in another thread but unfortunatly that didn't fix the issue. Do you have any other ideas on how this should work?
Greetings,
Victor
This problem has been resolved with 2 observations:
1) In order to load a diagram from SharePoint, the logged in user must have a minimum of Designer privileges to the target site.
2) If MetaVis is installed on a computer that is connected to a Windows domain and SharePoint uses Windows Integrated Authentication for the same domain, the credentials used to log into SharePoint will always be the user currently logged into the workstation. Note: This means that the connection information entered within MetaVis will be automatically overridden by the user information from the domain.
We are working on providing an option to use or disregard the domain user information for item (2).
has this been fixed yet? I'm seeing tihs error on Win7 machines. Although the machine is not in a Windows domain, it's still throwing the AuthN error in MetaViz. Cannot connect to any sharepoint that uses Windows Auth even though i'm admin across the board.
Microsoft SharePoint, also known as Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies, is a collection of products and software elements that includes, among a growing selection of components, web browser based collaboration functions, process management modules, search modules and a document-management platform. SharePoint can be used to host web sites that access shared workspaces, information stores and documents, as well as host defined applications such as wikis and blogs. All users can manipulate proprietary controls called "web parts" or interact with pieces of content such as lists and document libraries 70-649 exam.
