Creating list with content types does not show types

Let me start by giving my compliments for this tool; it looks great and will be very helpfull! I started myself creating such a tool in Visio, but SharePoint is so complex with content types, inheritance etc that I quit!
So the issue:
I created a list and multiple content types. Then I added those content types to the list. After updating SharePoint the list is created and also all content type are available in the Site Settings > Content Type overview. However when opening the list, the content types are not available. When changing in the advanced settings the option "Allow Management of Content Types" the types are present. However the original content type "Document" that I deleted from the list is still available.

Thank you for your positive feedback. It is great to hear back from users like yourself.
In terms of the issue you raise about creating a new content type in a list...Even though the content type itself does not appear in the list (until you enable "Allow Management of Content Types"), the columns that are inside the content type should be all available within the list. This is more of a SharePoint limitation. We had debated automatically enabling the "Allow Management of Content Types" setting, but have not discovered a way to change this programmatically at this time.
On your second issue of not being able to delete an existing content type from a List, we have confirmed this error and will fix this problem.
BTW: MetaVis automatically check for updates when it is started so you will be notified when it is available.
