What's New?

Import from file system function is implemented. There is a view that appears in Classifier mode of the application (Switch by a button on a toolbar) that displays all drives on the local file system. Double clicking on a drive navigates to File / Folder browser view. File from this view could be dragged and dropped on any list of the loaded Sharepoint site initiating regular MetaVis Classifier location selection and property definition wizard. It is possible to select a sub-folder of the target list on Location page and define metadata on the Properties page. Many files could be copied at once. See "Using Bulk Import Plug-In" cheat sheet in Help / Cheat Sheets section for details.

Fixed the issue of not being able to see the dictionary values for lookup column in Classifier
Fixed the issue of not copying right value for lookup column when copying item to the other site. The main problem here is that value in new site has different ID than the one in the original site so the entry should be looked up in the target site list at the time of the copy

Enhancements

Classification wizard features new way to select column values during tag or copy. It is now possible to browse and select any value of any column present in the selected items during tagging.
Classifier manages multi-line wrapped texts among all other column types
List browser now has click-able site and list name on the top to ease navigation and general understanding from what place these items came

Bug Fixes

We added the ability to load sub-sites in classifier mode which was conceptually missed after splitting the system on architect and classifier.

We stopped hiding folder-inherited content types in lists. Even if default Sharepoint WEB GUI does not show them, they exist and are important part of Sharepoint structure. Now it is possible to create custom folder types and add column to folder types. We even have cheat sheet with instructions of how to do this.
Classifier / Architect mode of the architect suite is now preserved between application executions
We fixed the issue with navigating to newly created topology items (content types, columns, lists) in the navigation tree
The inconsistent issue with the installer was fixed. In certain situations the installer threw an error at the end of file downloads without apparent reason. Some people linked it to the virtual machines issues. Well, it was the installer issue and it is fixed.
List name uniqueness is maintained in the diagram level when new list is created.
There is a warning during site update in cases of empty group or column name
We updates many toolbar and menu icons as well as fixed missing dialog icons.
Automatic application update now works through proxy servers. The proxy server information is entered on Help / Registration / Proxy dialog. Application uses the proxy upon startup to get the update. We do not have yet the automatic proxy discovery based on Windows registry but this is a good improvement in the auto-update function

Enhancements

Item browser performance is improved. Items list is retrieved faster from SharePoint list. Items metadata is retrieved faster too when Tag, Copy and Move operations with items are initiated. It is also possible to cancel the Tag or Copy/Move action during metadata retrieval
Mode switch action is added to toolbar that allows to switch application to Classifier or to Architect mode. In Classifier mode the diagram disappears and the application layout changes to look like Windows Explorer with sites and list on the left and items (documents) on the right.
Limit on 100 items or documents retrieved from SharePoint lists is removed in Classifier

Bug Fixes

Limits on String column Length, Text column Number of Lines properties are enforced
Provisioning Choice attribute without list of choices as well as Formula properties in various attribute types without default formula is prohibited
Classifier handles empty values in item columns correctly when multiple items are selected at ones for tagging or Copy / Move
Currency format property is now a drop down list
Provisioning default values for check box (boolean) column is fixed
The issue with property value refresh after new entry on the Properties view is fixed
Provisioning a column with correct name after dragging and dropping site level column to the list and renaming this column in the list is fixed.

Enhancements

The application does not ask for user id and password each time it connects to Sharepoint anymore. It remembers the last entered credentials and uses them to connect. The application still shows the box that connection is successful but it does not happen often anymore
Site selection drop down that allows to pick already loaded site as a connection target for either content copy or compare
Added an ability to synchronize created or deleted subsites with the diagram
Installer now works from computers that connect to internet through proxy. IE auto-configuration script is also supported
New naming schema for the application editions is adopted. Now we have MetaVis Architect, MetaVis Classifier and MetaVis Suite which includes both Architect and Classifier. We will also have a Community edition with limited functionality for both Architect and Classifier and limited number of sites
