Have you ever had to restart your migrations from the beginning due to an interruption? ECM Migrator is designed to complete migrations that failed for whatever reason. When connection is reestablished, our “Continue Migration” feature picks up from the point of failure and will continue until all objects within that job are successfully migrated.

Uses a familiar Windows-like interface

Use a windows like interface to view your content and select individual objects or entire rooms, cabinets, etc and drag them to your destination. ECM Migrator will migrate your content while you continue on with other work.

Pre-defined migration templates are provided out-of-the-box

ECM Migrator is delivered with pre-defined migration templates. For many legacy application, no further configuration is needed. Just install and start migrating.

Simple metadata mapping

When metadata mapping is required, ECM Migrator will display attribute libraries from legacy applications. Simply choose your source attribute and map it to your content type and column.

Users can continue working during migration

ECM Migrator supports Delta migrations, allowing users to continue working without interruption. Re-migrate only new content from you legacy system by selecting a Delta migration for a previously run job.

Re-migrate failed objects

In any migrations errors are bound to happen, resulting in some content failing to migrate. The challenge is to re-migrate just the failed content after the errors are resolved. ECM Migrator allows for a simple, yet very powerful, one click re-execution of all failed objects for a previously executed migration.

ECM Migrator provides a dashboard for ongoing migration and comprehensive reports including data throughput statistics, audit trails and much more.

Predefined Migration Templates

ECM Migrator is delivered with best-of-use migration templates that are specifically designed to move content and map metadata from a legacy system into appropriate lists, libraries, content types and columns in SharePoint. Fill in your connection parameters and begin migrating within minutes.

Translation Management

ECM Migrator provides a number of functions to manipulate metadata values during migrations. In those instances where data needs to trimmed, extracted or joined, the Translation Management Interface provides a simple way to accomplish this goal.

Metadata Enrichment

One of the most common needs in migration is to populate metadata that exists in SharePoint but not in the legacy system. The metadata enrichment feature in ECM Migrator allows you to create as many user defined fields as necessary. Prior to starting a migration, you will be prompted to enter the values for these fields and they will applied automatically.

Drag-and-Drop

The Repository Browser interface displays your content in a familiar Windows Explorer like view. Selectively choose objects, grab directories or an entire room/cabinet/etc and drag them into a SharePoint site. Now, let ECM Migrator handle the rest of the hard work. Your content will be copied from your source directly into your destination.

In process/Delta Migration

ECM Migrator can perform migrations while both your source and target SharePoint systems are still in operation. Once you have completed your migration, just go back and perform a delta migration. This will pick up all new objects, metadata, and versions that have been created since the last migration.

Custom Metadata Mapping

Once you are connected to your legacy system and SharePoint, the Attribute Mapping interface will be automatically populated with all your content types and their associated columns (including your custom fields). Scroll through all your source metadata and choose an attribute; scroll through your target SharePoint environment and choose a column. Then, click the Add button and you're done. Those two attributes are now mapped together.

Scheduling and Email Notification

Have to move large amounts of content, but don’t want to slow down your network and users during business hours? With the Job Queue and Scheduling system in ECM Migrator you can setup multiple migrations and have them start during off business hours or over a weekend. Enable Email Notifications and ECM Migrator will notify you when the migration completes, including a migration summary with statistics.
